You guys will probably hate this:

So the question is - Would you pull over?

I think this is in CO.
Lol! Is that supposed to be a "police car?" The cop would probably have a harder time trying to squeeze the prisoners into the back seat than catching them!
No, I wouldn't stop- I only stop for American police cars. Like this one:

That old  pic looks like it was taken out the quarter window of a late sixties B-body :dontknow:

Guess the cop was getting ready to turn around to chase :grinyes:

Lol.
It's from a book called "Muscle Cars Compared." Originally in Car Life Magazine, Nov., 1968.

Going by the other photos, it looks like it was taken at a police (or some other) proving ground. So, don't worry, they're not after you!

CAR AND DRIVER SAYS THAT THE SUBARU WRX STI HAS A TOP SPEED OF 145 MPH. THE 1970 440+6 OR HEMI CHALLENGER WITH STOCK TRIM (24"TIRES) AND 2.94:1 GEARS CAN TOP OUT AT 160 MPH. THAT BLOWS THE DOORS OF THE WRX STI IN TOP SPEED. A CHALLENGER WITH 4.10:1 GEARS CAN DO LOW 13'S HIGH 12'S INTHE 1/4 MILE . A SUBARU WRX STI DOES MID-HIGH 13'S.A MORE EQUAL GEAR RATIO IS 3.23:1 WICH TOP SPEED IS 146 MPH AND 1/4 MILE IS MID TO LOW 13'S. IF YOU PUT 28"TIRES ON THAT E-BODY THERE IS NO WAY A WRX WOULD CATCH IT!

<---This guy....5spd Corolla...yeah baby! :puke:
Those STI's are nice newer cars.  If I had to buy something that was a common form for Rice, I'd choose a Dodge Stealth cause at least it's psuedo-American.

1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

A Corolla is a fun car? :dontknow:

Also, I hear that the Dodge Stealth is a ***** to work on.  And, it cost's an arm and a leg to have someone else work on it for you.

^Sarcasm.  229,400 miles on the odometer and I still can produce a little smoke.  Not that I'd know from experience or anything. :eeksmall:

Some Japanese cars are good, fast relaible etc but it's those drivers  and the way 80% of the cars are "riced" out.

I still like the Nissan Skyline R32 Godzilla. Wouldn't buy one but it gets respect from me.

When you drive rice it's almost like saying...."Hey, look at me, I'm a young punk."

....Pretty much the same thing someone was saying when they bought a brand new Roadrunner in 1968? :outtahere:

I'm not sure about that, I wasn't around but if that was the case the Roadrunner gained respect.

If jap cars want the same lets see a Godzilla make it to 35+ years and still be a force on the roads, then only then will they become somewhat of a "mans" car, respect the old cars because like parts they don't make em like they use to (repos are sh!t).  :gripe:

Old cars have something japs never will - RESPECT.  8) :worship:

True, but, you have to remember, Rice is the modern day equivolent of the Muscle car.  Not performance wise, but, it's what most of the kids want.  Unfortunatly. :(

(Gun salute in the background)  Yeah, it's unfortunate some people are willing to put their money into something that is only depreciating as time goes on...I'm curious to see what happens in twenty or more years.  My guess is there will not be too many of them around anymore cause they were beat so much, not to mention the much thinner sheetmetal/plastics used on them.

Heck yeah I would stop.  Then I would point and laugh     until the officer hung his head in shame,  walked back to his car and left.  Honestly, thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

Id have to say the WRX, modern 21st century tires suspension.  As for throw you in your seat, looks sound and power strait line the hemi, but then who keep these things stock  :grinyes:

HEMI           lets see what they go for in 35 years
I say even them up!! Imagin what a 425 horsepower hemicuda would do with 21st century suspention and tires!! you cant campair apples and oranges yes 34 year old suspention is out dated!! (i still love it) Take new technology suspention and breaks put it on a cuda and see what (if anything) would stand a chance!!  Im not trying to argue or anything im all about keeping old cars stock i would never change suspention on a cuda or challenger or anything of that nature but if you want to know what is the faster car you gotta even them out!!
My family, My cars, My guns three things il fight for!!
