I'm using both the poly locs and the shumacher torque strap. Works good for me.
i think i will do the same next week with schmachers e-body new style hold down that clears all accs..
was going down the freeway today and under hard acc i started to feel a rumble for lack of a better word in the wheel that went away after pulling off the freeway,,WTF!..once back in the garage i noticed on the passenger side that the tie rod union was barely touching the passenger side header,,under hard acc the motor lifts up on the drivers side and rotates down on the passenger right into the headers/tie rod..
a little dimple with the ball peen hammer next week at that spot with the schmacher strap and should be good to go,,,
so much for thinking the poly-locs were an end all fix,,i would not have spent the xtra $$ for them if i would have known,,the schmacher strap would have been enough...so if anyone is thinking about them theres your answer,,,
