This is what I have had for a few years. It also becomes winter storage for the T/A. It's a 24 footer and tows like a champ. My brother in law and I also own a 16 foot open trailer togather.

Well I found one.
The guy I bought it from purchased it but wasn't big enough for his equipment so he needed a quick turn to get the money to get another trailer that was up for sale. I love pressure sales.

It's an 18 footer (83" wide between the fenders) and since I'm comfortable with and prefer gooseneck, it was perfect for towing my cuda.

:wow:   That's one sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet looking trailer!

Thank you,
I was suprised to find this one was around the same price as all the bumper-pulls around here which is why I jumped. This morning I noticed his ad with pics (placed at 9pm last night) said to call after 5pm. I called at 9am this morning and bargained right off the bat.
Now to get a bigger winch and some nice lookin wheels.

But to add, with all the tips, pics and info from this thread I had a better idea of what size I wanted and what to ask for.
So I thank all here that shared. :worshippy

Technically I think you do, but if it's personal use only you can get away without it. Most larger trucks like duallys and stuff are more of a target for local MTO officers. They also go after a lot of landscapers etc...

The yellow sticker has to do with combined weight and I think my little 1500Ram and 16ft trailer are under the weight. :clueless:

Hummm  thanks. I was thinking of one like yours towed behind a Chevy Suburban. I tow a 30' travel trailer with it and never needed/ bothered with a yellow sticker? Car Trailer would be lighter than the travel trailer?

Here is our trailer we got it from   http://www.trailersuperstore.com/

Ask for tim

OUrs is 24ft inside and has a line x coating on the floors and underneath to prevent rot or rust.,A enclosed trailer is great because not only is it a second garage it is keeping your ride from road rash like on a open car trailer.

Ok I have to ask.

With this 24ft trailer why is the door on the passenger side? Do you have to move from the drivers side to the passenger side to get out or do you Bo and Luke Duke it? Or there is plenty of space to open the car door inside the trailer?

curious & thanks,
Bryan

Bryan, I'm guessing here...
But I have a 28ft enclosed gooseneck and have doors on both sides as an added option (sure makes things easier). It might be the same case here.

That particular door isn't for getting out of the car. Notice how far forward it is. The door that some trailers have is located over top of the fender so it lines up with the car door. If you don't have the door over the fender you have to either Bo Duke it or winch the car into the trailer.

I realize that (who gets out of the passenger side of a car in a trailer anyway?). My doors are placed ahead of the fenders as the one in the previous pic. It's not about getting in or out of the car, it's about getting to both sides in front. Perhaps for storage or for ease to the winch or tie downs.
I made the choice for doors on both sides because of all the above. It made since because the options were there when ordering my trailer.

Down the road I might look into a trailer so I have to ask ye owners opinions:

Buy one with a "get out" door or go ahead and buy one with 2 doors on either side and just winch it in?

What are the most popular ways to use the trailers and the pros and cons.

Thanks
