The MMC fastener guide I was referring to is the MMC Detroit guide: http://www.mmcdetroit.com/Market_Place/E_body/
As for intake manifolds, I picked one up off ebay, relatively cheap but heavy so it cost nearly as much to ship. There are lots of aftermarket intakes available for the LA engine (318-340-360) most are aluminum which is a big weight savings. You might need a carb adapter if you're running a stock TQ.
Oh wow, glad I asked (and did not 'ass'ume ;-) That guide is now on the Father's Day Most Wanted List (although, I seem to get more attention from those who really know me on "Mutha-'s" Day. That will certainly be the case with by best bud who often helps me out with his expertise, lift, tools, etc. A professional mechanic of approaching 50 years, he grimaces and groans when we're up to our elbows in a rebuild and I start worrying over specific fasteners that are nowhere to be found, at that moment, etc. Great guy (actually, high amongst the best of men) but, he and Mark Worman wouldn't last two minutes in a conversation ;-)
For any who happen upon this thread later and whom it may help, I am attaching a pic of the exhaust pipe flange gasket I tried twice (and, for all I know has worked both times) but, a Mopar-specialist mechanic turned me onto these folks who carry
the "Super Service" version gasket that will be my first choice, going forward: http://www.accurateltd.com/ (Gent who sent me the link also indicated Accurate are the folks who do the exhausts used on Graveyard Carz.) Some good diagrams on the Accurate website, also.
Right now, I am just waiting an opening with the Mopar-specialist who I finally got my car over to for an initial glance at on Saturday. (He was in the middle of another rebuild and lunch at the time but, now knows what car I'm talking about when I am on the other end of the line!)
Hmmm, my block is a "HP" 440 and I am a tad leery about buying such a part "unknown" off e-bay but, more than willing to if one of my buds can attest to or recommend the seller (previous business experience, etc.)
At this point, I am just relieved to have an accurate (if not definitive) diagnosis and I hope i am back to the "rumble" without any "cracking" soon!
Thanks again for your time and assist!
