71 Challenger Roof and A pillar

If you are not replacing the roof skin you`ll have to get some sheet metal and hand fabricate some pieces and weld them in- after taking care of the rust.

To do it properly, any car with rust issues like this should be completely stripped and sandblasted to find ALL the rust, then you can determine the extent of the repair. If the area remains small like that, then you need to fabricate patches and weld them in.

Or just get some spray foam and bondo

... and then put back on its drivetrain before and metal repair?

Thanks for all the ideas everyone. I am going to need to replace the "A" pillar because there is a large rusted out whole on the upper cowl too and so I figure to do it right I should replace that whole 'A' pillar. I was looking at "A"pillar replacement pieces as was suggested here by another poster. Just wondering, though, how do I get at the top part of the "A" pillar without cutting out or removing any of the roof skin? I think the it  is connected under the roof skin no?
