    Painting Steering column and dash

    I want the steering column, dash, ash tray and glove box lid repainted before installing.
    Do you think spray paint is durable enough, or should it be body shop paint.

    I was thinking the same thing; I too have my dash out and steering column out and wanted to paint them both at once. Actually, I was considering powder coating as its a very tough coating. I am not sure what quality you are looking for but I don't think you are going to get a quality finish or durability from a spray can product.

    Am curious; are you thinking of going with a matte or satin finish? I was going to go full gloss but am undecided.

    Guys,
      A satin finish would definitely look better than gloss. I think I would go with the spray paint. It's not like you will be walking or beating on your dash. I think it would hold up OK. Then again, it's an easy touch-up if something does happen.

    I bead blasted everything and used the satin in a spray can. It holds up fine as like stated before you won't be beating on it.
