out for a first of season ride ...cops everywhere!
« on: April 28, 2013 - 05:39:22 PM »
It was nice day here and I finally got the car out for a ride. Seems like everywhere I went I noticed cops had people pulled over " taxing" them?  ::) Lots on nice cars out today too! I got followed for a few miles by an unmarked gray full size Chevy van . The strobe lights and the tinted windows sort of gave it away.  It's not unusual to get followed by "John Law" when I have the Challenger out. So I am careful to drive " nice"
I actually saw another 70 Challenger (black) I've never noticed another one in my town before.
Anyone else notice a extra police presents out and about on nice days?

"I actually saw another 70 Challenger (black) I've never noticed another one in my town before."

That make's 3 black ones in Ontario. I saw one near Bell Fountain last fall but I don't think it was a 70. I think the guy was from Oshawa or someplace around there.

They have been out alot in WA lately too.  The other day on my drive into work i passed 6 state patrol cars hiding out on a 10 mile stretch.  Needless to say i just sat in the right lane and cruised on in.

Nice weather seems to make everyone drive a little faster and the fuzz obviously knows that and are usually out in force.

Racing, and serious exhibition of speed can get your car confiscated in CA.

And Cops love Mopars I've been finding out.

Here in WA too!!  Road racing will get your car taken from you. The funny thing is while I am driving my GC on the free way I usually am within 5 miles of the speed limit. But everyone else is flying by 10 to 15 mph over flying past me. My wife says just do the speed limit cause if you match everone elses speed they will pull you over out of the bunch since it is a muscle car and still Arrest me RED in color.

I haven't noticed that many speed traps or anything around here.

I think with a bright green car and loud exhaust, Brad, you'll have to lay off the gas a bit!  Around my area it's quiet and conservative.  Loud exhaust was how I was pulled over one time a while back because the police officer said he heard me 3 blocks away!  :faint:

:iagree:  only thing missing would be a large donut mounted on the roof! ........ :pullinghair:
It's frustrating as the car is just not "happy" idling along... it wants to GO!  This new drivetrain is sooo different  than the old 440!  :grinyes:
