http://www.ramairbox.com/bases.htmlI think the ram air guys have baseplates that clear linkage, like a 2 inch drop and a 16 inch baseplate.
also, you can have a machine shop mill off some of the height of your
intake manifold.
When I had the orginal steel Cuda hood, I cut out some of the brackets on the
underneath of the hood, to get more clearance. they can be rewelded to give
more support if needed, but I didn't seem to need it.
also, on air cleaner baseplates, you can grind off some of lip that fits against the
top of the carb, to lower the baseplate. may have to move your coil.
