new guy here saying hello
« on: March 18, 2005 - 02:04:18 PM »
hey guys i had a friend show me this site and so far looking around i like it.I have always wanted my dad's 65 cuda ever since i could walk.Well he finally gave it to me and i am in the process of restoring it.Car has all the original parts on it sat for about 15-20 years most the time inside but had it's share of the weather too.Car has the 273 H.O. and 4sp manual in it,posi rear end.I had it running but since it had been sitting so long it smoked like a pig.I pulled the engine down and rebuilt it,it's just waiting to be dropped back in.Right now i have almost all the floor boards fixed then i am moving onto the body.I posted a message in the parts wanted section for some rear quarters so hopefully i can find some at a decient price.I have pics of my progress that i will prolly post later if anyone is interested in seeing them.I also need a front fender driver side mine is a bit to far gone to try and save. This is my first V8 car all the rest i have owned have been six cyls and 4 cyls althought this isn't the fastest car i own.I have a 1976 280z datsun that it turbocharged and puts down some where around 310rwhp and being the car is so lite it takes alot of ppl by surprise. ;D
