This axle was installed together with a 426 in a 318 Barracuda, which was set up for dragrace when I got it. 8 1/4?? Seems a bit risky....

looks like a 8 1/4 to me , not my first choice with a 426 in front for sure , I would build a Dana

Replaced it with a 8 3/4 which should work OK with the 727. The 426 had done 100 miles after rebuild. Hope that was not on the strip...
