If you wrap your template with fiberglass, it could be a great spoiler.
There was someone on another forum who make an A/C duct and it came out pretty nice.

I know its not a spoiler but the principal is the same.

I'm in the same boat as you, I want a real front spoiler but maybe something more stylized to fit the front end of the car rather than a big rectangle.

do what you want - it's your car
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

I did this same type of layout for mine using .063 aluminum.  Never mounted it up though. They are probably too big for a street car as mine if a pretty close copy to the original TA style units.

I have the main spoiler all cut out. I had to go buy another jigsaw as mine almost started on fire and was smoking really badly. It's 7" at the widest part . I figure is will hang about 1 3/4" lower than the stock T/A spoilers? I used .080" aluminum. Hardest part will be building the brackets behind it.

They work great, nice quality product. Looks good and adds strength !
Felt great to support a local business instead of sending money to China!  :grinyes:

Brad -- I applaud your effortst on the front spoiler!..    I suggest a unique idea that I've considered if/when I someday make one of my own:  The factory T/A plastic spoilers have that opening in the middle... for me, as well as truly all of us using it, a relatively low floor jack can be slid underneath the front plastic spoilers, and... the jack handle then easily fits and pumps right bewteen that opening.   So, here's my idea": consider having a front section, perhaps the size of a license plate, that would be hinged so that that that section could be lifted up to fit the floor jack underneath, as well as to allow the floor jack to operate.  The "section" piece could overlap the outer sides of the remaining full-width spoiler(s), maybe attached with velcro or small pins.    I like the rear supports -- they appear very similar to the actual vintage race spoiler's rear supports (I have pictures which I'll try to upload.. I've crawled underneath the actual Posey T/A to shoot them).
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

Hi Mitch!  Thanks!
I have not fastened the center support to the valance of the spoiler yet just in case that is the issue? I remember you mentioned that before. I figure it will hang down about 1 3/4" lower than the plastic T/A chin spoilers so I'm thinking/hoping it won't be an issue?

I saw that other thread where the guy used items from the hardware store to vent his hood.....

Got me thinking, maybe you could install one of these on your spoiler for "jack access" :dunno:

I'm liking this a lot. I want to do this too but it will be shorter because I have a steep driveway
