Iron Man 3
« on: May 02, 2013 - 10:46:11 PM »
I heard the reviews say this one is the best one yet.

Like to hear from those that went to see it.
Anyone going this week-end?
Mike, Fremont, CA.

:iagree:  looking forward to it, i think the iron man series and avengers are the most solid super hero series of movies. period.  These last 3 batman movies come in second :)

   I should take my 3 boys to the drive in to see it. Looks good. I don't go to the movies much as 99% of them are retarded and it's expensive but this one looks " worthy"  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

This iron man franchise made me rethink Robert Downey. As a former comic book geek he nails the part.

I was a little let down by IM2 as well.  It was a fine movie, but i think the original Iron Man set the bar really high.  It just made you want to be Tony Stark so badly haha

Although I am hearing IM3 is supposedly more on par with the 1st one!

the last Batman trilogy finally got me into the Batman Franchise.  Everything before it seemed too "costume-y" and fantasy like.  Plus it helped explain a lot of those questions you had as a kid, such as "who's building these vehicles, and secret passageways for batman and keeping it a secret..." lol

I'll probably just wait for IM3 to come out on Blu ray, but I'll definitely be seeing it. I was never much of a fan of Robert, and when he Charlie Sheened himself I was thinking good riddance, but when he came back to acting he was great. I really enjoyed the Sherlock movies and the Iron Man/Avengers ones. He's really brought himself back, bigger and badder than ever. I don't think they could have chosen a better actor for the Tony Stark part because it's almost a biography for him. Beginning of IM he's almost dead, and each time he gets a new suit he gets better and better.
It's the same with Leonardo DiCaprio. After Titanic I couldn't stand to watch any movie with him in it because he was always the tool from the ship but when Shutter Island came out I was surprised how good an actor he had become. And he proved it again in Inception and J Edgar.

In my opinion, Downey makes the Iron Man series. The Batman trilogy that Christopher Nolan did was epic....especially Dark Knight Rises. I don't usually get into going and seeing movies at theaters, but I did that one and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.  The twists at the end were awesome.  Im kinda excited to see what Nolan will do with Superman...I'm kinda getting sick of all the super hero movies that have been done to death, but probably will see Iron Man 3 just to get a kick out of Downey. Heard very mixed reviews on it...everything from "Worst superhero movie since Daredevil" to "Greatest super hero movie of all time" hahaha
