Hey All agian, did all e-body consoles come with the cable to hold the door from opening all the way?

No, all console lids don't have that cable. I don't know if that was just a 70 thing or not, but I've seen some at swap meets without the cable.

I have owned 15 challengers most with consoles very few had the cable. Not sure as to why they had them

Thanks. Was doing some clean up & new console wood grain, I think I will make a cable for mine The holes are there might help the lid from coming apart.Thanks agian

I have two 70 automatic consoles handy.    Both are Burnt Orange.   One came with the car the other I got off of Ebay about a month ago.

They both have cables.

Here is one of it attached to the lid.I am stiil trying to make one for the console but the new wood grain is installed & crack repaired
May not be correct but I like the idea

It just might well be. I've seen this simple cable go for $60 on E-bay.  :ack: Hey, a shoe string can do the same job.  :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:
