Vinyl Top Trim Clips
« on: May 06, 2013 - 07:24:15 PM »
I am installing a vinyl top on my 74 Challenger for which I don't have pre-drilled holes for the rear trim clips.  Does anybody have a diagram showing the location of these clips?

I couldn't get the correct clips to hold the trim tight to the body.  I ended up drilling holes and installing the bolt on style clips.  Set the trim where you want it.  Run a marker around the trim(top and bottom of trim)making marks on the body.  Then drill your holes in the center of your marks.

If you want to try using the pins and plastic clips, they make a pin with a Philips head and sheet metal threads.  An old body shop might have them.
