70 Challenger project
« on: May 07, 2013 - 09:36:37 PM »
Looking to get back into the Mopar game with a 1970 Challenger. Intent is to make her a sublime R/T clone with a 440 just like my last one (stolen).  Budget is up to 15k.  Would like to avoid any serious body work.  Will be a driver.

15K to play with right now.  So, if I spend all of that right now I won't be doing anything to the car until I save up again...if I spend less then 15k I get to go to work right away!  Would rather spend less then my budget, obviously, but if that's what it takes to get the right car and it's worth that much, so be it.

As for the second question....came home really late at night from a road trip and left the car parked in the driveway for a couple hours...disappeared sometime during that timeframe.  If anyone tells you gated communities are safe, they are full of crap.  Never left the car out before, but also didn't worry about the neighborhood.  Always seemed like a really nice area.  Didn't think twice about leaving the car out for a couple hours till the sun came up when I'd wash it.  Police came up with nothing, of course. Still bitter.
