Tanker truck fire in Harrisburg Pa today may affect folks travel to Carlisle.

They will be removing spans of bridge work that has been damaged.

This will be a major headache for anyone heading south toward Carlisle for sure, yours truly included.

Bummer They had that on the local news here even! :scared:

Looks like I'll have to stay on HWY 15/11 and stay on the west side of the Susquehanna going down south and avoid 81 altogether

Looking closer it appears maybe going south to Carlisle might not be an issue but going back home heading north will be? I'd imagine traffic will be nuts so I'm going to stick with my original plan and stay on 15/11

11/15 is probably a good bet.

Anyone coming from New England would likely head down through there.

Sounds like 81 may be reopened pretty quickly.  But what ever the demo and reconstruction of other spans entails could effect traffic flow.
