Hi Larry and thank-you for the warm welcome. I would post pics but the site tells me my pics are too large? The car is painted Sassy Grass Green and had had new: quarters, trunk, roof, cowl, floor replaced. 100% welded frame connectors and torque boxes added.
The motor has been ready for years: 528ci HEMI, TTI headers, mega block, 4.5 bore / 4.15 stroke, solid cam and ported MP Aluminum heads. The motor made 630 ft pounds of torque on my SuperFlow 902 dyno. (more torque than HP) I never plan to race this car, (I have a very fast race car).
This will be my "Old Man" cruiser, "Chick Magnet" look cool and sound good transportation. It has 4 wheel Wildwood brakes and an 8-3/4 posi with 3.23 gears. The car was an original 340 A/C car I purchased rolling in 2000. I am putting the guts back in the doors and installing the new wiring from American Auto wire. I am not an "original" guy.
I am still faced with many issues that I hope this site can assist with. Everyone seems to have a very nice E-body and already been where I need to go. The dash / heater / A/C will be a challenge as well as finding my missing parts. I need a lot of parts I had and disappeared when an old time classmate took the vehicle to paint.
My 35+ years with Mopars has been in Drag racing and engine building. I currently own a shop in Atlanta full of all types of Mopar engines.
Nothing original, although I do have many pump gas versions making more power than anyone I know of.
This is my first true restoration and my books do not explain to me how a car is to be assembled properly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I can email pics if you want to see this project.
again, thanks for reaching out, I like this site.
Eric
