Hood Clearance
« on: May 10, 2013 - 05:58:33 PM »
Has anyone used an Indy 360-3 intake on a40 in a 1973 Cuda with a bulge hood? I will be using multiport injection, so there will be a throttle body on top instead of a carb. intake looks pretty tall. I am afraid it might not clear the hood. Is anyone using this setup?
Thanks

dont know, but I agree, looks tall, and with an EFI then air cleaner, my bet is no,
unless you get maybe a drop base air cleaner bottom.

72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
