Price for a 440 6 pack setup?
« on: May 10, 2013 - 07:29:26 PM »
Hey guys,
Found a 440 6 pack setup consisting of the manifold all the way up to the air cleaner, in very good condition at a swap meet today. What would be a max price on this. Each carb had a sticker saying "2BBL" if I remember right.
And I am ashamed to say I didn't take any pics  :villagers: :stomp: :bricks1:

Thanks,
Tom

Don't know, but if its all there, my wild guess would be at least $2000!

Usually with a little searching you can find the set ups for 1200 to 1500. And assume a rebuild of most components.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Was it original date coded parts?  That seems to make a big difference as to what people pay on Ebay.  Current intakes can be had for around $350, I've seen originals go for at least a couple hundred more.  Same with the aircleaner setup, $350 for new, $450-$500 or more for original.  Carbs are more of a crap shoot, rebuildable orginals maybe $600-700, new seem to go for $1100-1200, linkage, fuel lines, etc. add another $100+ so you can see it adds up.  Whole setups including installation kit are available new for around $2500 if you're not concerned with 'original' parts.

all new will run you well over 2k , carbs alone are over 1k so $1100 complete is a good deal if it is in decent condition & complete
