    So anyone that has looked at my resto thread that started more than 2 years ago, I have been held up over and over again with moving and deploying and am now heading to Korea for a year. Well., I just moved the car to my buddy's house where she will be watched while I am gone. I am going to pay to have a shop here in town do the work on her so that when I get back I can turn the key and go. So over the next year I will have update pictures and wi probably be asking for help for my buddy trying to get her put all back together for me. It's sad not seeing her in the garage anymore

    Dont get discouaged, most of us are always working (improving??) something.  :working:  So things take time, I've had NIKKI for years.... if I was smart Ida left her alone and just went cruzin'...  :burnout:

    I wish I would have waited to get her done and just enjoyed her over the past couple years but I was impatient. My buddy is gonna hook me up and keep sending pictures to keep the spirits high

     :iagree:  I pulled out the interior and painted it like 7-8 years ago and still haven't had the chance to put it back in.  Life goes on, stuff will always get in the way, just gotta prioritize things.  The car will get done eventually...  :grinyes:

    Thanks guys. I checked the garage about 6 times last night just to make sure I wasn dreaming. My wife is excited because it is finally going to really get done. It is a little disappointing that I am not long to be the one completing the job though.

    As soon as the shop gets going on her (prob aug or sept) I will have pictures and as soon as I have them I will post them up. I'm sure I will also post up some pics of Korea if anyone cares to see those too.

    Not to be a downer but how well do you know this shop?  Have you seen work that has been completed?  Do you trust them?   can the wife go and verify the work that is being completed?  Just have witnessed to many members getting burned by shops that don't do as they promise . . . .

    I appreciate the concern. I have seen the shops work and it is pretty nice. My wife is going to Colorado so she can't check on it. I am leaving it in the hands of one of my buddies her that is a car guy. He knows my standards so he will know what to look for and I will let him know what I am paying for.

    Be Safe in Korea. 
    Get signed estimate and paper signed leaving you car in there possession in case they go bankrupt
    or loss of vehicle.....
    Make sure car is insured take vin tag off fender.
    Make sure the vin on door is not destroyed. 
    Take before photo's
