He was emailing almost weekly to see how Owen is doing. I haven't heard from him in awhile either.

I talked with a very good friend of his at the Dalton OH swap meet on April 20th.  Back then he basically said that Jim wasn't doing very well. Albeit, that was about 3 weeks ago.

He called me about a week ago. I am sending some switches to him to get rebuilt. I think he is busy, as he said it really picks up when people start getting tax refunds back.

Wow, thanks for the concerns everyone!

He called me about a week ago. I am sending some switches to him to get rebuilt. I think he is busy, as he said it really picks up when people start getting tax refunds back.

That is true about the busiest time of the year for JS Restorations. A couple of months ago, I did feel like my energy level feel off a cliff. Long story short, after some blood work, it was revealed that I had a hypoactive thyroid (underactive) in April.

It took about about a month of being on a script that has finally kicked in over this last weekend and feel like myself again. I do have a backlog of work to overcome, but I will not rush anything out the door. I have been in contact with those that have orders waiting completion and apologize for the delays.

If anybody ever had to deal with an underactive thyroid, or in car terms a bad voltage regulator, a whole lot of nothing gets done, real fast. Just glad to know it was an easy fix.

Nothing back from Jim yet....  :walkaway:
Oh Phil, you sent an email to the wrong address: novajim@lovechevys.com  :roflsmiley:

Hey Brad, on target for delivering the K frame to you at Carlisle.  :2thumbs:

Thanks again,

Jim

JIM!!!!  Just sent you some cool pics of a Camaro that looks like yours!   :grinyes:  :roflsmiley:

Glad to see you are doing better.  Had a tough time getting the thyroid meds correctly adjusted after I had the whole thyroid out due to thyroid cancer.  Hypothyroid is a bad feeling, sometimes like a giant jello blob weighing like 1,000lbs on top of you like you can barely move, or even think.  I could barely walk half a block before almost collapsing.  I lost my short term memory too.  Got it back after a while and back to normal....what ever level that might be...   :icon16:  :grinno:  :screwy:

What out about generic vs trade thyroid meds.  I usually take Levoxl (trade name) but there as a recall so I went on Synthroid.  I feel a little hyperthyroid, which gets stuff done but I think my life span will be shorter than it already is.  ::)

Generic levothyroxine makes me hypothyroid, even on the right dosage.  Might be because there are a few companies that make it and even though the active ingredient is supposed to be the same  ::)  it differs slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Hope all is swell!
