Hi gang...I'm new to forum and I have the pesky problem with my 71 Challenger. It's a 440 six pack, electronic ignition. We only use it for shows and very rarely does it get out of storage. But it has this problem that from time to time it will not start. It seamed to have started 2 years ago I was on a cruise and it died...NO Spark. I went through all of the necessary steps changing the coil, voltage regular, and ECU from my GTX to the Challenger nothing. I spotted a ground on my GTX from the engine to the ECU and none on the Challenger so I installed one and it fired up. Then a year ago I was sitting in traffic and the Challenger started to load up so I made my way to the side of the highway just before it died. After about an hour it fired up and no problems the rest of the weekend. 3 weeks ago I tried to start it up and nothing, so I thought maybe it was flooded so I made some cardboard pieces to choke the front and back carbs and it fired up. It started it up maybe 10 times since. I went to start it 2 days ago and it wouldn't start. I pulled a plug and no spark. Not sure what to think at this point. Should I be looking at the distributor. The electronic ignition is the Mopar Performance.
