Trying to identify the correct heat stove on a 73 340 challenger. The 73 service manual shows a longer version. There is a shorter version but cannot find when or how used.
73 Parts manual shows something totally different.

PM member "hooD" He is the original owner of a 73 340 Cuda. He has headers on it now but he might still have the original heat stove.

Can't help you , the 340 was an interesting engine though , no heat stove & unsilenced air cleaner up to 71 for sure probably 72 so 73 may be the first year & they may have used different ones through production

So it looks like 72 was the first year for the heat stove on the E-body.

My observations of looking at pics of original 73 340 cars indicate the shorter one is most correct. That is the one I put on my car.
