Removing scratches from side glass?
« on: March 20, 2005 - 05:18:54 AM »
I did see somewhere or heard that you were able to remove light scratches from auto glass with some kind of material and a buffer, anyone know  about this than pls post the info.

Also I would like to polish the scratches out on the face of my ralley dash, any info on the material used here?

an odd thought just occured to me ,could corn starch be used to make your tires shine or would that be unhealthy for the rubber?
I have yet to find a tire shine product I am realy satisfied with.

sorry to change the topic so abbruptly ,just started wondering

it shouldnt hurt the tires a bit but the cornstarch is the worlds finest dry polishing compound ...dont think they would do much for tires ( but interesting thought i may try it to see)

  Yes,
  It sounds strange, but true.

I knew the toothpaste, but not the cornstartch..... time to try that out. And if I get hungry, I can just fry up some tail lights.

Outlaw, didn't you say you can buff the paint with cornstarch too?  I want to try that.  I can always practice on our Kia Sportage first (did I say that out loud?????).

Eastwood sells a kit for about 50 buck I thing, it's for scratches that you can feel with your fingernail. Got to be careful though cause I heard it could cause distortion if you don't follow the instructions to the tee. :ack:
