    Well on the 11th of May I bought a '72 barracuda it's rough with a fiberglass front end, doors forward.....

    It currently has a 2 barrel 383/727 combo.

    Just noticed the fiberglass hood is separating a bit on the driver side hinge mount area...... Yay.

    The oil change was the normal fun. Don't get me started on the lighting.  But I told myself I will get it back in one piece in ten years or less.  (a coworker said 3).

    Just dropped the car off at the body shop for some fiberglass and electrical work.
    Finally put a few miles on it.  All 16 miles.

    Had a massive lucky score.  A local mopar guy who loves e bodies hooked me up with awesome prices on some great goodies.

    Interior screw/fastener set
    Door sills,
    A used standard driver side mirror,
    Grille trim
    And a set of NOS tail lights (all 4)

    I can't wait to put the goodies on.

    I've seen other cc members do miracles with there rides.  GOOD LUCK!

    When you get a chance remove the stainless and give it a buffin.
    You will be amazed what it does to the cars look.........

    Jushas the dash cap ship in.  It's used but will have to work until I can validate $500 for a new dash pad.

    Just remember this....They're NEVER done.  :roflsmiley: It's about enjoying the journey. It's a labor of love & you'll probably never get all the money back that you put into it. But who cares, you have a Mopar (the baddest American made muscle)!! Hopefully you'll be able to drive it as your project moves forward. I've done engine swaps, tranny swaps, had fires, wrecks, and still been able to drive it at various stages. My next project is suspension mods, but that's when money is more abundant!! Enjoy your ride & keep us posted on the project. I like the color!!  :2thumbs:

    Matt, I'm a massive Pontiac guy actually.  But I was in between pontiacs at the time and barracudas don't pop up every day.  So I jumped camps until the wide let's me buy another Pontiac.

    Well I finally got to work on the car.  I went for the easy victory and installed new sill plates.

    Out with the old.

    Big update:

    Today the father in law and I rewired the front and rear tail lamps and put new rear lenses in.  The back up lights still don't work so we will need to figure out why they are not working.  Also tinkered with the fuel sending unit a bit.  No luck their either.  Bit by bit I am eating the elephant.

    Does anyone know what these are called.  My front passenger running lamp doesn't work but the blinker does.  The wiring was scary at best so I taped it up hoping itll lady a few more months.


    On the plus side the car is getting there and I am refining my list of parts that need to be replaced... (it's quite long).
