Best Alum Valve Covers?
« on: May 22, 2013 - 09:10:10 AM »
It's interesting how Wide the price ranges are on aluminum valve covers. I want to but a pair of fab'd, polished ones for my 440 Cuda. EBay has them from $90 to nearly $200 that look the same. Anyone purchased some you can recommend?
Thanks, Greg.

I bought mine from 440 source, http://store.440source.com/Valve-Covers-Fabricated-Aluminum-pair-USA-MADE/productinfo/200-1052/

I liked the look and they work great, no leaks and fit great.

I can post some pictures later tonight if you want.

Look nice but a little over my budget. Trying to stay around $115 . Thanks.

Those do look VERY nice and made in the U.S.A to boot!  If I wasn't going for the 70's period correct look, I'd definitely consider a pair of these.  Did you drill your own oil/breather holes?  Doesn't look like these have any provisions already made.

Best valve covers are whatever you think looks best on your engine!
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
