opinions wanted on truck shocks
« on: May 26, 2013 - 04:20:13 AM »
My 2002 F-150 4X4 (7700 LB payload pkg) has gabriel ultra shocks that I absolutely hate!  The ride is horrible and stiff.  I feel like I am riding a wild horse.
I am looking for a nice smooth factory ride.  I do not tow boats or trailers.

I have been looking at monroe sensa-trac shocks and monroe gas magnums.  I am not sure which one would be best for smoothness.
I do not want to pay $100 per shock, therefore I am not interested in blistens or KYB shocks.  I need something economical.
Any opinions good or bad?

If you want a factory ride, why not go back to Ford? I put Monroe sensatrac on my Dodge Ram. They ride nice.

I belong to a couple truck forums and most guys want monster trucks that sit 12 feet off the ground.   Not much help from them.
