Hi, Idaho...  I thought V21 was a different hood stripe option?  No, I don't have that.  Color keyed racing mirrors and EV2 paint meant painted grille in 72 from what I can tell.. and mine has it.  I'm still learning all this stuff :)

Ah you have all the signs of V21 = 72 340 cuda Color Keyed Grille, Side Stripe. You could always add the hood treatment.

I see this can get expensive... I paid quite a bit for a low miles car.. in almost all original condition, (Older re-paint, the rear spoiler has been added at some point, and the side stripes should have been white), otherwise everything seems like it is original to the car, and no rust).  Alas the leaf springs have lost a lot of their spring, the shocks are the originals, the tires are 15 years old, and the brakes aren't great.  That's all so far, could be much worse!  I love Challengers and Cuda's....  had a 72 Challenger many years ago, so it's a blast to have a 72 Cuda.  I'll be reading everything I can find on this site, thanks!!!!

Hi! Welcome aboard! Like your ride ... it looks almost exactly like a '72 I owned way back when ... if you don't mind, what did that set you back to acquire?
Cheers!

Hi, I probably paid too much... but I was looking for a Very clean and all original 72...  With the 340 auto, in orange or white, with white interior.  Found this one with 58k orig miles, broadcast sheet, paperwork, past documents for miles etc... with basically nothing touched except an old re-paint to the same orange/tor red color.  No rust, runs good, and just some small stuff to make it great....  and I paid $28,500 plus shipping.  Probably high, but I couldn't find a better deal for a car this clean.

I don't think it's too much for such an original car. I paid less, but my car is more like Frankenstein with all the parts that have been replaced. Nice car!!

Thanks...  My current problem is figuring out what size tires to buy.  The ones on it are 15 years old, and still new... but that makes me nervous... It has 14" rallye wheels....  so I'm told I need to go with something like 215 70 R14's or maybe 225 70 14's.....   or maybe 225 or 235 60 14's.....  but 60's are shorter tires, and the 14" wheel is already small.... I'm confused now, and no one near me has any 14" performance tires anyway.  Now I don't know what to do.
