Factory 'Anchor' Screws
« on: May 29, 2013 - 12:47:36 AM »
Where can I get the OEM indented hex washer screws with the 'Anchor' pictured on the head?  I think they're #14 x 1/2 but I can't seem to find anything about them or where to get them.  I have several used to mount things in the engine bay such as voltage regulator and fuel charcoal canister bracket.  I'm just missing a few and would like to replace them all with the factory correct screws.  Thanks.

Thanks for the response.  The ones in that listing have a loose washer. I sent a message to the seller asking if he has the ones with the washer built into the head. At least on my 73, it uses the indented hex washer head type.

My 73 didn't use those screws for the ECU, voltage reg, starter relay exc...  Mine have the loose washer.  Some of the bolts also have a I/S on the head and not an anchor.  My car did use those screws to hold the plastic starter shield and K-member shields inplace.  I went with R/T Specialties for all the fasteners that weren't good enough to reuse.  Also, you can soak the fasteners in muriatic acid.  That will derust them and remove all of the old zinc plating.  THen just send them out to be replated.  It's a lot cheaper then buying all new fasteners.

Is Bill still selling parts?  On Moparts he said that sales have slowed WAY down and that his priorities have changed.  I hope all is well with him.

I've never seen those screws used in an engine compartment either, but I didn't want to mention that because I don't deal with 73's too much.
I haven't talked to Bill in awhile, nor do I go on Moparts anymore.....I too, hope everything is okay with him... :worshippy
