is this only a challenger problem?  cause aprils cuda goes in fine.

the seat back goes in first.  there are to hooks on the deck supports where the pressed cardboard is.  the seat backs have to catch on the hooks before ya push the seatback down.  then theres 2 bolts that mount the seat back at the bottom. (if these bolts are in bofore ya mont the seat,  the seatback won't go into place)  Then the seat bottom gets installed by putting it under the seat back and pushing it toward the rear of the car untill it catches the hooks on the floor.

hope this helps

Yep, that's the exact procedure Squirrel!  But, it didn't work on my chally...1/2 to 3/4" above the package tray.  We decided it's now a "feature" of the car.

Don't worry Rev. I've never been hit in the back of the head with my rear seat when I hit the brake.  It is an interesting problem though. :gripe:

Got it solved, you are not supposed to slide the seat back fasteners into the slots, they are supposed to go in front of the slots and the seat is fine

Then the question BEGS to be asked... What in the freakin' world are those slots for if they aren't for the back of the rear seat to slide into???  :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :stomp: :stomp: :stomp:

Maybe for the rear seat divider to hang on?

got it solved or I hope so.  The thing is that if you slide the seatback inside the slots in the main body the seat woont rest enough down for proper fitment. I believe it is supposed to rest on the outside of the slots and then tension the bolts for proper height. It sits now 3/8 obove the tray and looks right.

Well then, I don't get it.  That's how we did ours and it still sits 1/2" taller than the package tray.  Oh well!  That's the least of our worries right now.
