Rear seat problem, cant get it fit properly
« on: March 21, 2005 - 03:36:50 PM »
It has allways troubled me alot that I do not seem to get the rear seatback to be flush with the package tray, it is about one inch above and that looks bad when seen from outside through rear window.  How do you install the rear seats and in what order. Do the seatback go in before or what.

ON Mine, you would have to put the seatback in first, and then there are two slots at the bottom to put a screw through on each side to hold it down.
Then slide the seat bottom in, push back and down to catch front two latches.

We just got done putting ours in and trying to get that back seat level with the package tray.  No can do.  It's a good 3/4" up.  Guess it's supposed to be that way.

 Rev,
If you can't do it, then I don't feel so bad. I tried beating on it, cursing at it, nothing worked. I believe I heard it laugh at me though.

If it bothers you that much, shim up the front edge of the package tray.  But yes, mine sits up about a half inch also.

Thanks dan -

I'm glad someone asked this question, becasue I have the same problem,.. it's almost as if it's too long to fit. Why would this be??
