When I was still in Canadastan.

"Canadastan?" Surprised they didn't find your Malibu in violation of "Canadastan" sharia law and bust it up too!
Cheers!

In the states if there are zoning restrictions in your counties, remember anything that has a footer or a concrete slab requires a permit.I you have a neighbor beside you or behind you make sure you check with zoning if you have to pull a permit. Also maybe in Cananda they might have an option like we do in the states of a Varriance request, it will usually cost 100.00 but might save you time and money, but if you have a bad neighbor forget it. :smokin: :eek4:

I feel your pain.
I am a building contractor with 30 years experience and have built hundreds of homes in south Florida, which arguably has the strictest and most difficult building codes in the world.
Plans often require ridiculously overengineered specs, and permits even for something as simple as a premanufactured shed can take months to obtain.
I could write a book about all the trials I have gone through in this business. If you NEED this shed, you need to first make sure you find out all you can beforehand from your building department, so you can make the most educated decision about how to do it.
I wish you the best, but hopefully at least you have building officials up there that want to actually help you, and not just make things difficult for you.
Good luck.
