I have been banned 2ce from there. (actually 3 times - one was my fault) The last time was for no reason No warning given, never said and thing disparging, never cursed - just poof. Gone. No explanation. One time was for cursing, after a person mentioned his threads on a bolt were "buggered up" (he was warned for the use of buggered)" that got me curious, so I went down a list of words from mildly offensive until I got to "buggered" and got kicked off with a warning explaining why - ie, (I don't like your dirty mouth) There is a set few of the holy annoited boys and girls (think high school all over again) that can say whatever they want, use curse words in any fashion they want and use words that I would never consider on this OR that forum (yet I use them on my gun forum, where anything goes and is expected) and they NEVER EVER get any kind of reprimand. I mean FOUL, crazy stuff that NEVER gets them booted, and is even not blocked by the mods there. They are the "regular" posters, and you will soon figure them out. It is discouraging. I only keep it as a link for tech stuff anymore. HAH! I'm not so crazy afterall? (well maybe I am)

What site ?
I was banned for no reason years ago , never went back ?
Database makes sense as long as Chrysler doesn't come after us for it , Barry would not release any of them after Chrysler came after him for sharing them .

ECS,
A database containing assembly information would be great.
But, I fear as Chryco Psycho has pointed out, the drawings, pictures, instructions, etc, are (for the most part) owned by Mother Mopar or some other publishing company.  Once the database is created, I’m sure that the owners of the materials will quickly make contact with the site’s admin and order the database be taken down.

I can only assume that the owners of the material are still making money on their info.  Be it sales to the public or commercial use, or whatever.  It would be nice, though, for us to be able to share the info.  You would think, for example, since I purchased the 1971 Chrysler manuals I should be allowed to scan each page and post it on my (our, this) web site.  But, alas, it is not to be.  >:(

Database would be great, but thinking along the lines of the others it would be shut down once the "owners" of the information found out. I would pay for the coffee table book if somebody ever produced it though.
As far as that other site, what a rotten place to visit, full of obnoxious know it alls, hope they don't find us.

I think this is a great idea!   :grinyes:
I think it might be a good idea to make that thread only visible to logged in members, and not to "guests".  What do y'all think about that??   :dunno:

Since this site is dedicated to Barracudas & Challengers up to year 1974, any chance the database could eventually have the later years as well?  That would be awesome!

as always, its the members that make the site.  ive been around other mopar sites, and other auto sites in general, and I continue to be surprised at the quality of the members here.  were not a big group, but were tight, respectful, and helpful, and im proud to be apart of it.
