At least it still had it's vin.

Seems those drag cars have a hard time keeping their plates.
Did it retain it's fender tag?

Good looking car!

If it was made into a drag car years ago back when they were just cars-well Ok but if someone cut up a real AAR recently to do that  :villagers:

I took this picture 26 years ago  :22yikes: On July 11 1987. I can't say for sure if it's the same car, but chances are pretty good. Car was the same colour, and for some reason I remember this being an AAR as well.

Man I'm getting old.... :pullinghair:

Well that's an interesting way to use an AAR lol.
1970 Challenger SE - in the shop for metal work.
1970 'Cuda AAR - driving till the Chally gets back.

AARs (and T/As) were intended for road course handling events... not drag racing.  Its disgraceful and pathetic that someone turns a handling car into a drag car.

AT least it's  not hiding in a garage .Afraid of the sun . They're only new and only original ONCE. When you register them they become USED CARS. They were made to be driven.

the AAR's could not be ordered/delivered with a dana...  perhaps dealer installed only.  road racing is far more demanding than drag racing any day.

I was able to trace my AAR all the way back to the original dealer. The 3rd owner bought it in the late 70's early 80's and turned it into  a drag car. I was lucky they didn't toss the fender tags. Back then they were cheap used cars that went fast.
