In my opinion Red and Blue are Way overused colors. So is black, but black looks great on anything!

Here are a few pics.

Do you have the sharktooth grille? If not would be a good idea to get one, would appeal to more people.

If it's numbers matching Id paint it original color.

Sharktooth grill would be nice but  :money: Black looks good when the body is straight but that takes block sanding and lots of it!

Don't see to many but figure around 300-400 give or take for a good one.

What about white with black stripes?

What wheels are you using?

Short Story:
Back in the late 90's my brother-in-law and I decided we would invest together in a car to restore for the purpose of resale.

Him and I and a couple of hard working buddies worked on the car every weekend until it was done. When I sold my Superbird in 1999 I figured I needed a car right away, so I bought him out and cruised around with our freshly restored Duster. I then sold it for a little profit at Carlisle in 2000.

Early in the project we too asked ourselves what would be a quick "re-sale" colour.....Our choice was GY3 Curious Yellow. Also considering we were doing all the body work ourselves and not knowing how straight the body would be, we chose NOT to go with the car's original colour combo....

A decision I'll regret for the rest of my life.....

Why ?

By the original broadcast sheet....The car was a 1971 340 4spd car.....Left the factory TX9 Black with V6W/V8W white stripes black/charcoal interior and the kicker was the V21 blacked out hood treatment with the 340 wedge decal.

Since then I'm determined to restore my cars to the BCS....just pick and choose my projects wisely....

Don't know where that old Duster is today....Maybe it's Back in Black by now :dunno:

That is drop dead stunning!  Probably the best color set up on a Duster, or a body period. Can you ask for more?

Back on topic here.
I have to say that I have noticed over on the FABO site that the green cars sell quicker than average.
FJ5 sublime FJ6 SassyGrass Green of course

I'm no car flipper so this is just what I have seen.

No tag or sheet but no one would care anyway being a /6 car. Burnished red is the original color.

I had a Duster I raced for almost a decade , it was dark red , I didn't like the color & always wanted to change it to purple , long story but I got the 1/4s fixed & into epoxy primer , raced it 2 years in Primer then sold the body to the new owner guess what color he wanted on the car .... back to red  :banghead:

My girlfriend Cori is trying to talk me into the Burnished Red which is growing on me but I`m not sold on it yet. The othercolors like purple, sublime, red and orange are too common now so  :dunno:  If I do the Burnished Red maybe I`ll add some pearl/flipflop in the clear to give it some sparkle/pop like I did the V2 on my Barracuda.

I like the Viper red with a white interior.  The car will be a "clean" looking "hot rod"  that will have a broad appeal.   Someone who wants a toy but does not care what brand may buy it.
