Dash paint finish question
« on: June 16, 2013 - 10:09:17 PM »
My Challenger was originally yellow but is now black. The colour change was the work of a PO. The dash has a sort of matte finish and the steering column has a gloss finish. Would the dash and column both have originally been black and a different finish?

Both were a suede finish originally.  I think the actual texture varied depending on who sprayed the pieces.  My dash and column didn't have much of a texture to them.  I was able to recreate an accurate finish with SEM Trim Black.  I just sprayed the last coat a little dry to give it a little texture.

Suede is the correct finish.  I heard it's getting REALLY hard to find this paint anymore.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
