More vibration, noise issues
« on: June 18, 2013 - 09:28:12 AM »
My recently restored, total stock configuration AAR has an annoying whine when under load at lower speeds, and a vibration above 65 mph through the console area.  All driveline parts are new, and it does it no matter which sets of wheels and tires I use. Any suggestions?

probably driveline angle again , must be a problem in the trans creating the whine

Thanks, that angle must be a commonly messed up item when these cars are redone, you wonder why so many get it wrong.  I have an auto, which is what makes the whine more interesting, I will try different gears and see if it is affected, thanks!

buying a high quality well balance drive shaft can help a lot.

These guys sold me a nice one:

a local guy balanced my old one, but the new one from Denny's is a lot smoother at high speed/rpms.
Plus, its a lot stronger.
