Beautiful day here today and was off work so the wife and I went to the new "Panera Bread" restaurant for lunch in the Challenger. This was only about the second or third time she has ridden in the Challenger.  I was trying to smooth things over as to the rougher ride than I'm sure she is used to, saying" creature comforts have changed a little since 1970 huh?" She laughed a bit. So at a stop light I let it rev up a bit before I changed gears ( just into second) and set her back in the seat and my sunglasses flew out of the sun visors.
She let out a "GOOD GRIEF!!! " and said those sunglasses almost  ended up on your face and that's why the cops are always following you the colour has nothing to do with it!  :dunno:
It was a fun day/lunch! We rarely get out just us together anymore.  While we were eating a few people gathered around the car taking pictures!  When we finished and were walking back to the car another older guy and his older still mother had just parked beside us and were walking around looking at the car. The guy just explained he has just sold his Hemi orange Challenger a few years ago and this was killing him, etc...
Sure is fun when the positive kind of attention is paid to the car, seems everyone loves our e-bodies huh! Young and old alike too! :2thumbs:

good stuff... my wife tollerates it more than most.

We take the cuda out for groceiers etc. during the warmer months (this year being the exception).  Hell she even comes to Moprfest with me every year.

My wife's only compliant is the smell (rich idel), which I am working on and she woudl liek better seats...me too!!!

Glad to hear you have it out and it is getting attention.

Ya people's reactions are great. When you drive down the street and someone gives you  and you lip read 'nice car' it makes you forget about how much you've spent on it  :screwy:

well... last weekend I took my family for the FIRST Challenger ride: my two kids (5 years old girl and 2 years old boy) were pretty amazed, while my other better part... well... she was... quite tense  :grinno:  it was too fast (IT WASN'T), too loud, too dangerous for kids and generally TOO...  ;) I think I will have to take her for a lunch soon  :D

A good wife that likes old iron is a must. My wife just said "awesome" when I told her we had bought an AAR on top of the current project. She appreciates these cars, and that makes for a calm and relaxed household......

My wife likes to take the cuda out and drive. Once the ac is in I think she's gonna quit driving her jeep.

My better half will go on short rides but she hates the smell of the car. It runs a bit rich. She also preferred the "old quiet exhaust"
