One more in to watching the completion of your build.
X2 or X3 on jealous of your meeting them.
There are a lot of signatures on your lid there.
Who all has signed it/them?

Mike.

Hey Mike, thank you! Each glove box has Don Coscarelli, and the actors who played Reggie, Mike, Jody, and The Tall Man. One of them also has Kathy Lester, the blonde in Part 1 who is also in the new Part 5.. (In case for some crazy reason I build the Part 1 440-6 car some day) haha.

Here are some shots from today. I am very happy with the progress. After some more metal work the body work will begin next week.

Iceing on the cake:

You need a Phantasm flying ball with the spears jutting out somewhere in or on the car.

I had the HEMI dyno'd this week at Opal Engineering in Streamwood IL. It was pretty consistent 525HP, 472ft lb of torque. I want to drive this car and have it be dependable, so it's basically a stock HEMI with a hydronic cam. I didn't want to go too radical. I'll post all of my info on the build later.

I'm now waiting on the OTHER fender, so once that arrives the front end can be lined up and the blocking begins. It's looking pretty sweet!

After replacing the bad fender, which had a 73 marker light cut in and then re welded back to a 70/71, we decided the other fender also had too many issues. Lots of small bad areas. I figured with the car being black I might as well put two brand new fenders on. There have been major back orders with some AMD materials.
