ha!  Very cool!   Love those movies.

Why not make the left side of the car the part 1 car and the right side the part 2 car?   :roflsmiley:

have fun with the build...  then reshoot a could scenes from the movie...  would be awesome!

Alan

When you meet Don ask him about Bubba Nosferatu

Bubba Hotep!..
Crazy movie.

We mostly discussed Phantasm, but I do like that movie a lot too.

Made it to Carlisle last night, now I'll be searching for 71 parts all day.

Well, I was originally going to use the 440-6 as the power plant for my part 2 car, but fate and a phone call from my friend landed a 426 HEMI into my hands. This car will now roll right off the big screen onto the street! This is the first HEMI I've ever owned, and I'm excited the car will be exactly like it should be now.

Now that's what I'm talkin about.

That's goin to be a sweet ride Rudy.  :ylsuper:

AND I absolutely LOVE the Phantasm movies and the Cudas that were used in them. I got my itch for a cuda back when the 1st Phantasm movie was out. Those movies (especially 1 & 2) never get old with me.
Not sure if it's the Cuda or the Tall Man that gets me every time.
Please keep us posted.

The HEMI is out of a 69 GTX that was crushed "supposedly"... has a set of 68 4 speed carbs on it.

FINALLY! My car arrived from California. Next week the body and paint starts. I've acquired some good part during my wait.  Dana rear end being one of them.
I am very happy with this body, it's a excellent base for this project.
The firewall and inner aprons are super mint. The roof is still original despite the black color. New AMD quarters, trunk floor an rear floor pans and tail panel. Everything else is original metal. Dave stamped the original fenders, this car was a 383 2bbl barracuda.

Lookin good.

And since we're on the subject, my son and I watched Phantasm 1 last night (our annual tradition to watch horror flics each weekend in October).
I got excited every time I saw the cuda (it happens every time I see the movie). Of course the tall man adds a nice touch as well.

Coming in following weekends, Phantasm 2, 3 & 4.  :2thumbs:
