Finished it up today. The hell-coil turned into a pain in the a$$. i went ahead and tapped it to a 7/16 and used a stud. had to drill the flange out a bit, but was way easier. I was sweating bullets for a bit with the tap, but it finally bit. used some grease on the end of the bit to collect the shavings. i would take a little bite and then pull it out and clean it. i swear at least a hundred times before i finally finished. That was my first repair like this. Cant say i ever want to do it again.

Good job! Those can be scary, especially when the ramifications of screwing up can be big!
And I have a few of those big screw-ups!
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
