Ive never seen anything like it in my life, been in Calgary 54 yrs  now. This is a city of 1.1 million people and they evacuated the entire downtown 100.000 people est. We have a sports dome and the water is up to the 12 row of seating. This flood is 3 times worse than the previous worst ever flood. Ummm don't know what else to say but mother nature is in charge here. The insurance companies will be bankrupt. The town of high river 14,000 people is completely evacuated. Im lucky that my house is safe but feel bad for others.  :crying:

:iagree:  I work for one of those insurance companies and today we got an email asking for volunteers to go there and do auto claims and they evacuated our downtown office under city order. My brother-in-law in Lethbridge said they're asking for civilian volunteers to sandbag Ft. Whoop-it-up to try to keep it from washing down the river. In some spots, they got 20" of rain in 24hrs. Biblical. If it keeps this up, the animals will be gathering two by two. Head for the hills boys! :22yikes:
