Chryco has often suggested the Lunati 303 and maybe the 302. I installed the 303 and I think it is a great street cam with a higher stall torque converter. I used a 2500 rpm from PTC. I think the stock converter might be a bit tight but I did not try it. The 302 might be a better with a stock converter and will still make some higher rpm power. I think Chryco would be the ultimate authority on that decision.
I am with him on buying a modern carb with changeable air bleeds. I prefer the vacuum secondaries on the street with a higher geared rear end but I don't disagree that you can learn to drive a double pumper by doing as he suggested. The gas mileage will be lower and it may take a bit more tweaking to dial it in for better mileage than it gives out of the box. But, let's face it. Unless you are driving 200 miles on the week end, who really cares if you get 10 mph or 12?
I like the QF options or the Proform versions. Both have Proform parts in them. Buy the one that gives you the best price.
It is really hard to make decisions when you are getting 20 opinions online
I would pm Chryco and follow his suggestions. I'm pretty sure he has 100 times the experience of most of the rest us!
