Holley/AFR question
« on: June 22, 2013 - 11:13:20 PM »
So, on my 12 year old 850 DP, no matter how low I go on the primary jets, I can't seem to get the AFR
above 11.5.  At WOT its about 12.5, so that is good. Did someone recently say I should consider drilling
small holes in the primary butterflys. Seems that might solve the problem?

if the idle is turned up a fair bit exposing the ilde transfer slots too much it could run rich or just lose idle sensitivity , drilling holes in the throttle plates help allow more air in while keeping the transfer slots covered

Start small 3/32 opposite from the idle slots in the center of the throttle plate
