I don't know where to start. Im 24 and have been in love with barracudas for years. I finally bought one about a year ago. I found a 1974 barracuda a couple of cities over. I went down there to look at it cause how good could it actually be for 1700 bucks. Well come to find out it was a complete car. I couldn't believe i,t so I loaded it up before the guy could change his mind. I brought the car to my buddy's house, cause I had no where to put it. As soon as we unloaded my new TOY we poured gas down the carb and threw a battery in it. and it cranked right up and i drove it around the yard. But being the guy I am I was ready to tear into it. I stripped the car down to just a roller in one weekend. I sadly didn't get to work on it for about 6 months due to new job and having to get married. I also realized that its hard to work on it at someone else house. So I built me a shop nothing special just a roof over my head. So since yall are up to date. I finally brought my car home and will start pounding it out has much as possible. I don't have many earlier pics since my computer crashed. First pic is of my new shop and the second is me bringing my baby home.

Now the reason for the Subject Name. Everyone has the sweet snazzy names for their builds. So maybe as build I will or someone here will come up with a sweet name. Till then she is No Name.

I have plenty of ideas and I change my mind daily on what I want to do.
I want to keep a little old skool with a touch of new with a little sleeper mixed in.
Everyone's input is welcome good or bad. Remember Im on a tight budget so no
three thousand dollar suspension or some crazy blown hemi. I have the original 318
and thought about building it. But my neighbor has offered me a short block of a 5.7 hemi.
I will be striping it down to the "frame" http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/Smileys/default/working.gif.
Im going to be building my own rotisserie and get some of the sheet metal work done. I will also be putting some
frame stiffeners some torx boxs and radiator core support. I haven't found much rust but the little I have it has been
bad I have rust in the fire wall in the wiper motor area due to rats nest. I have already replaced a floor pan but it looks like
complete crap due to rushing.

So I will keep yall updated as I go. So lets Get started.

Holy crap, great find! How did you find it?

I'm 29, lived in Texas 3 years ago and I couldn't find squat. I paid $1,500 for a basket case 1973 car missing everything.

I now have a solid running 70 that I picked up in Abiline in February.

I am a firefighter and was working with my best friend. We were talking about dream cars and I said I want a Barracuda. His brother just happened to have one. So I asked about it every month and finally got his brother number. I called him and he told me to come look at it and had it drug out of the barn whe i got there. I inflated the tires and took it for a deal.  :cooldancing:

Got home tonight after work and had a little time to wrench on the car. Progress is still slow since I don't have any electricity in my shop.
I got the passenger door and fender off of it. So right now any progress is good progress.

So its been awhile since I turned a wrench on my car. Mainly because I had no power in my newly built shop. I finally got my father-in-law to come buy and
wire it. So today starts a new Saga. I am still in the tearing down stage and it seems that there is a never ending line of parts to be taken off. My shop is already to small and is almost completely filled up already.

I started tonight with cleaning out the trunk of the parts I was storing in there. I also removed the taillights and the harness to the lights.
I did not find much but maybe a few small pin holes. The rest of the trunk seems to be pretty solid though which is good. Atleast there is
not alot of metal work to be done back there.

So after working on the trunk and taillights I moved inside to vacuum out the leafs and dust out of the floor. It makes me sick to see the floor board
on the passenger side under the rear seat. It was hit in the rear passenger quarter panel back in 1991. They patched it up with bubble gum and band aides. It has places fixed with small brass panels and brazed together. The other spots are completely rusted threw. It has been years since I have done metal so I guess ill get to polish my skills again.
