The better tow vehicle?

So making the trip to Carlisle and have a choice between the two vehicles below. . . . which do you think is the better tow vehicle?  Towing a cuda . . .

2002 Suburban
4 x 4,
Length = 219.3
wheelbase = 130.00
curb weight - 5,123 pounds

OR

2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck
4 x 4
Length = 231.8
wheelbase = 145.00
curb weight - 5,333 pounds

So I think the suburban will have more weight in the rear than the truck but the truck has a longer wheel base, both have tow packages . . . . just curious what everyone thought?  Both are dependable and I would take either without worry.

The Ford with the longer wheelbase will be more stable. And if you're connecting the stabilizer
bar anyway,I would go with that. If you could convince Neil to leave right away, he might be able to get
his truck up here in time to tow it to the show with that Cummins.

Which has the most torque lowest in the rpm band and what gears?

My Suburban will pull my car, but you definetly know its back there and with 3.08 gears, its a rolling road block on any grade. My Ram has a much easier time with it and with 3.90s, will keep pace with traffic easily.

I tow mine with a 2008 F150 supercrew and it does wonderful. I have a 18' trailer and do not use an equalizer hitch. We tow about 450 miles each way and always been a good drive.

10 yr newer truck , got to be a much safer and better ride......

Take the Ford....

Don`t know how they compare power wise but I bet the Ford has a higher towing capacity so I`d take the Ford.
