1971 Challenger front bumper adjustment

I'm going to adjust the front bumper on my 71 R/T Challenger, one side is a little further forward than the other.

I assume the forward/backward adjustment is done where the brackets bolt to the front frame rails  (looks like 3 bolts per side... 2 into the frame that are slotted for adjusting and 1 verticle)

Is there any adjustment where the bumper bolts to the brackets with the carriage bolts?

Does anyone have detailed pics of how far the front bumper should stick out in relation the fenders, the grill etc.

I'm also thinking of picking up the rubber fillers between the bumper and fenders...good idea or not?

Forward/aft adjustment would be done at the point where the brackets attach to the framerails........ What is this filler you're talking about. I'm putting back together a friend's '71 Challenger R/T and I believe these fillers might be missing....... I didn't take the car apart prior to paint, I'm putting it back together. I'm more of a B-body/Charger guy and learning the E's......

Thanks Alan....     I'll rummage through my friend's parts and see if I can find these, if not, it is a' time to be buying....... I saw the 71 V-code JS on your website..... Very nice......... That's what I'm working on, but an auto..........

I'm curious, it appears in your pics you painted the edges of the tail light housings silver...I'm under the impression they should be totally black?

Yea....I'm still on the fence with that one....I've found conflicting pictures....of restored cars with it both ways. Careful inspection of the original ones showed traces of silver with what looked like a cheap flat black spray bomb re-do....

I choose the silver trim, but make no claims to it being correct.....It does look nice though....

A simple fix, if someone really wants it all black...

They seem to be hard to find.

I have a nice used one I've had for many years, they seem very similar to the grill emblem on a 71 Demon?

I'm not sure if anyone is repoping them.
