My 'Cuda
« on: March 25, 2005 - 02:32:21 PM »
I am a newbie.  I love the site, lots of good stuff.  I just bought my cuda a few months ago.  I wasn't really looking for one cuz i didn't think I could afford it.  I just happened to be looking in the classifieds under classic cars and this guy had a '73 cuda for $7500.  I didn't think i had that much extra cash but i called a buddy who is a real mopar nut to go look at it with me.  When I called the guy who owned it he said it was a typo in the paper, he just wanted $4500.   What i got was a '73 'Cuda,  originally a 318 car, but it had a newly rebuilt 360 (with hot cam, Edelbrock intake manifold & carb, & headers.)  It also had a brand new paint job (amaatuer job though), new seat covers, & new carpet.  It's not close to a show car, but most of the e bodys on ebay for under 5 grand don't have an engine or are rust buckets.

Welcome to the board Int2old.  You got a great deal on that car.  I would have picked it up in a heartbeat.  It's not too often that someone selling a car tells you there was a typo and he wants LESS for the car than you thought!   You should try buying a few lottery tickets.

I agree with kudakid-  you stole that car!  but thats a good steal.   You dont know how hard those deals are to chance upon.  Your car already had a great story behind it.  Welcome to the board- you'll fit right in.
