New starter is in . :clapping: If I ever do another car NO HEADERS . What a miserable job . 10 hours up and down on my back on a cement floor .My car has a 440 in it so it's kind of like a bowling ball in a shoe box .Now that I know how I could do it faster but I tried one thing then the next and so on .First the motor mount then jack the motor towards the other side which included unhooking the fan shroud .Next I unhooked the starter but it was locked in by the pipes .So I took the bolts out of the header an unhooked the exhaust from it .After about a half hour trying different angles the starter was out . I thought I had it made now . WRONG . My MINI STARTER is a lot smaller however it is about 3/8's of a inch wider . After another 1/2 hour on my back it was clear I had  to send the starter back or dent the header .Now the header had to come out . :pullinghair: To do this I had to take out the clutch z bar . Still not enough room . So next I took the steering column out . Yet another half hour it was out . Back together wasn't bad .Either way it's done and barring a factory defect should last longer then me . I'm not moving too good this morning . Did I ever tell you guys I'm 54 and all these unusual position take a toll . I remember when unusual positions had a different meaning . Thanks for letting me vent at least you guys can appreciate where I'm coming from . Hoping for good weather today so it was worth the work . :burnout:
