Found a junk yard!
« on: July 03, 2013 - 06:59:33 PM »
Kid I bought the `71 Duster from told me about this yard with 90% old cars 30`s-80`s. I found plenty of A body Darts, Dusters and a couple Barracudas-one a notchback and one a convertible. Found three or four Challengers but didn`t see any e body Barracudas although there are supposed to be a couple. B bodies were Satellites, Coronets, a `68 Charger and plenty of C body Furys etc. Owner is a nice guy and easy to deal with and prices aren`t too bad. I grabbed both 1/4 windows from a Duster, a chrome moulding and a floor shift steering column with wheel for $150. I didn`t get many pics as I was too busy taking it all in, we spent 3+ hours there and probably didn`t see half of it. I`m definitely planning a return trip when I have more time and cash!

That's cool!

It's been several years since I got to go through a good place like that!

Can't wait to see the pictures of the e bodies.

Not sure if he`ll take anything off for you-it`s pretty much a u-pull it place which is fine by me. I`m, going back soon to find those cudas and get some more parts for my Duster.

Sooo... any chance of letting a fellow New Englander in on this little jewel?  It's been a while since I've done some rural automotive archaeology.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

Nice find! Very few places like that around anymore. I'll bet its owned by some older guy lookin' to retire. The one along those lines around here that's closest to me is still about 60 miles away. Things are pretty picked over.  ::) The last two times I was there Hank asked me if I wanted to but the place. Unfortunately the land is worth more than the business. And there is a really big late model recycler close by.    :grinyes:

I hate seeing cars get crushed.
That land value is usually the cause of loosing the old cars.  :(

Torred, when you go back out there, get pics of the fender tags on the cuda's please.
I'm always looking for those M46's.

I`d be curious to know where this place is located too!  :working:
